The new endless sea-front between Muttrah and Al Seeb in Muscat, capital city of the Sultanate of Oman, is lighted and decorated by the lighting systems Yumi and Arona. The former lights the road and the latter lights the promenade.

Arona, designed by Enrico Marforio, has an Italian name recalling the town near the Lake where he lived first. Arona is a reflected light system suitable to create, also through the colour choice, romantic and pleasant atmospheres.

Yumi, designed by DA2 Strategic Design Studio, originated from the wish to arrange and make room for one item in the place of the mass of elements filling our city pavements. This name comes from the shape chosen: actually it recalls a Japanese Samurai’s long ancient bow.

Yumi is a real system, supplied with a series of items to equip the lighting fixture with. In fact it can house at the base of its body either a planter, or a litter bin, or a bench: this way making room for walking along and, at the same time, decorating the environment where it is placed.
