Milano Marittima is a resort near Cervia, well-known for its bent for tourists, especially among the elite of society, and is haunted by plenty of youths for the great number of discotheques that are there.
In 1907 the Municipal Administration of Cervia gave a vast wrecked seaside area to the Maffeis, one of the most important families from Milan, with the engagement to build small villas, parks and gardens in order to create there a new seaside resort, called Milano Marittima, on confirmation of the strong tie with the Milanese world.
