Follonica [GR] | ITALY

Thanks to Leopold II, Follonica became the second industrial centre in the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, with notable experience and tradition in working iron and cast-iron. As a matter of fact the Church of St.Leopold is one of the first Tuscan evidences of iron architecture. This is why Follonica could but house an article manufactured by Ghisamestieri.

The traffic islands of Via Massetana in Follonica are lighted by Rondò Romano, an innovative and elegant way of lighting while decorating. Its gentle and harmonious shape, enriched by the presence of a coloured central obelisk, consents various setting compositions in accordance with the environment where it will be placed. Rondò Romano can be customized in its colour, in the decoration and shape of its central obelisk and in the number of light spots. Follonica chose dark blue for the steel elements and light blue for the lights in the central obelisk.

This is a street lighting system in steel and consists of: self-lighted central unit supplied with decorative slots, conical curved poles in killed steel, available in different heights to assure system flexibility.

Rondò Romano is fit for mounting asymmetrical roadway luminaires with reflector in buffed super-pure aluminium and either metal halide lamps or sodium high pressure lamps, the wattage of which ranges from 70W to 400W.
