Albinea is an ancient medieval village placed inside the Canossas’ landed properties; it is famous for a wine called “Lambrusco”, for its castles clung to gentle hills and its exclusive country houses plunged in the green fields of Emilia.

Mr Ivanoe Castori, an architect from Bologna, chose, for Piazza Prampolini in Albinea, the discreet and still presence of the street-lamp Arona, designed by Enrico Marforio and produced by Ghisamestieri, in the version with decorative luminaire and white diffuser.

The street-lamp Arona is a perfect union between contemporaneity, due to careful optimization of light effects and wise handling of their chromatic aspects – and the great artisan tradition of Ghisamestieri in the use of cast-iron.

Arona consists of a base and a pole in iron casting with a steel core, a cylindrical coloured acrylic diffuser, an optical compartment for decorative lighting, another optical compartment to house the luminaire whose light is reflected on the post-top aluminium screen shaped as a cap in its terminal part.
