Predappio is a small town with 6,440 inhabitants in the province of Forlì-Cesena.
The leading architects, personally appointed by Benito Mussolini to make Predappio his foundation town, were able to include the two most symbolical places of his recent history in the functional and balanced structure of the small town. We are talking of Mussolini’s native house, now housing cultural projects for the study of the Twentieth century history, and of San Cassiano in Pennino's cemetery. The latter, realized to hold Rosa Maltoni's and Alessandro Mussolini’s tombs in one mausoleum, now contains the tombs of the whole Mussolini family and, nearby, the tomb of a famous politician from Predappio, Adone Zoli.
The structure and buildings of Predappio are evidence of a real "outdoor museum". Residents and tourists can visit it following a set course, conceived by the Municipal Administration in cooperation with the local institutions and universities, called Urban Museum.
New systems of street furniture from the collection called "Serie Cubo" have been installed in Predappio. They have been designed by Sandro Lucchi, an architect of the Studio LB from Forlì.
