Roccella Ionica is in Calabria, exactly on the western coast of this region, facing the wonderful Ionian Sea, 115 km from Reggio Calabria and 70 km from Catanzaro. The town is in the province of Reggio Calabria, just in front of the sea, and is dominated by a rock with an old medieval castle, under restoration nowadays.
