Burano [VE] | ITALY

Burano in an inhabited island in the lagoon of Venice, with a regular boat line connection.
It is known for handcrafted lace, as well as for its brightly coloured typical houses: today their colours mark the person each house belongs to, and also portions of houses in various colours can be seen, according to the owners living there.
Famous is the bell tower of St. Martin’s Church. The town square is named after Baldassarre Galuppi, known as “Buranello”, inventor of the stave.
In Burano there have been installed column brackets in cast-iron and steel with lanterns mod. Crotone.
