Mr Maurizio Duranti was born in Florence in 1949 and lives in Milan, where he works as an architect and designer. He has designed architecture and fitting out works that have often been published on national and foreign magazines for the peculiarity of their innovative features. He received awards such as the U.S. “Good Design Award” in 1996/97/98 and 2003 and a Mention of Honour at the 18th Golden Compass Award in Milan in 1998. Several products designed by him are exhibited in the permanent Museum Collections of Chicago, London, Munich, Gent and Tokyo. In addition to several articles on the domestic and foreign press, the following monographs have been published: “Maurizio Duranti’s Designing Adventures” and “Maurizio Duranti, Drawings and Design”.
